Scott Pagona, trumpet and vocals, joined the Main Event Band in 2005. Before that, he played and recorded with numerous groups including The Pamlico Sound Machine, The Emerald City Big Band, Johnny Dollar, Mixed Emotion, Take Five, The Brym Mars, One Hour Late, and national act The Impressions.
Scott attended East Carolina University where he earned
two Bachelor's degrees from the School of Music. While there, he had the opportunity to perform with the nationally acclaimed ECU Jazz Ensemble A where he was presented with the award of "Outstanding Soloist." During this time he also performed with Ethel Ennis, Bobby Watson & Horizon, and the North Carolina Symphony.Scott currently lives in Ayden, NC with his wife and two children.
In addition to working the Main Event Band, he also teaches music to Pitt County schoolchildren and freelances frequently. |
